YUSU student Victoria Kostyleva has won titles "Miss Audience Choice" and "Miss Creative" at the VI International Miss Student Finno-Ugria 2017 beauty contest hosted in the city of Syktyvkar, Komi Republic, Russia.

The YUSU delegate won the audience award following the online voting, while the other one was awarded following the unanimous decision of the jury owing to Victoria's creative performances.

The honored title "Miss Student Finno-Ugria" went to Svetlana Davydova of the Mari El Republic, Russia. Thus, the next pageant will be held in Yoshkar-Ola, the capital of the republic.

The contestants were judged on six competitions: self-presentation, ethnic and regular runway walk, intelligence, creative performance and national games. Victoria honorably represented the culture and traditions of Khanty and Mansi.

In the intelligence competition, Victoria spinned a legend of the goddess from Kazym settlement. The student also performed a song in her mother tongue, an ethnic dance in the creative competition, and a national game referring to the traditional marriage proposal.
